This is the Bop I've decided on.

This is how Bop Tobble looks.
I've gone for 'quirky cute'.
Kidney bean shape, gap in his teeth
and perhaps the dickie bow?

the look fits with his innocence, especially the question-mark hair suiting
his curiosity.

A new sculpted face. Too 'cutie'? too furry?  hmmm......

Character designs..

I am experimenting with the look of Bop Tobble. Does he have large, human type ears? Any ears? Small eyes, big eyes?
Will he be drawn with simplistic lines, or 3-D looking with shadows etc?
How will his environment look? Full colour? stylised?

 Ponder ponder, sketch sketch.

who?

For the longest time I've had it in mind to create a children's character that I can bring to life in books, toys, cartoons etc.
A bit of an inquisitive, laid back character that is neither human nor...anything other than what he is!
Bop Tobble has a family, a dog named Barky (who never barks, of course) as well as friends such as Turny, who likes nothing better than to walk around corners, even if it takes him longer to get nowhere.

I am currently sculpting a prototype of Bop Tobble to bring the little chap to life.
Below are some concept designs and an early stage sculpture.

More on Bop's character traits, what he will bring to the children'sentertainment world etc very soon.

Thanks for looking!
